I am writing this article for OneNote any version which will help you open or access the OneNote normally. This may be a very simple task however, it does not comes in our mind immediately hence, I thought to share this article. The problem is whenever you open OneNote through windows search in Windows 8/8.1 it does not open normally and opens in full screen mode, also force you to login to windows account. The article focuses on how to open OneNote normally so that you can avoid windows sign-in and full screen mode. This is very important when you use your office laptop where you are not allowed to sync your notebooks outside your laptop/desktop. Please refer below screenshot for the understanding the issue in more detail:
Solution: To open OneNote normally here are very simple actions you need to perform. Just follow the steps below and you will get your favorite OneNote application in normal view:
Step 1: Click windows button from your keyboard to open RUN dialog box or alternatively you can use this shortcut to open RUN dialog box directly – Windows key + R
Step 2: In the search box type “Run” and hit enter
Step 3: RUN dialog box will appear just type “onenote”
That’s it. Pin it to your task bar and you can find your OneNote application opened normally in windows 8 / 8.1 by just following above three steps.
